Writer/Director Alex Bernstein spent five years working behind the scenes in the Hollywood sitcom world, and describes himself as a “former sitcom lackey.” He has worked with the writing staffs for numerous television sitcoms. His credits include Friends, The Nanny, Working, The Single Guy, and nearly a dozen pilots. Alex’s comedies have been performed in L.A.’s famous Odyssey Theater. Now a practicing defense attorney, Alex spends his time out of court writing comedy for theater and film. One-Acts By A Former Sitcom Lackey is his first foray into directing.

Alex Alexander is a San Francisco-based actor who hails from Massachusetts. She is a member of Barewitness Films (www.barewitness.com) whose work is largely improvisational. Alex spends the rest of her acting time on stage and was most recently seen at Bus Barn Theatre as Isabel in Romance in D. Her last appearance at Noh Space was in December 2004 as Marjorie in Extremities. Her favorite roles include Lizzie from The Rainmaker (Hillbarn Theatre’s Subscriber Choice Award for Favorite Performance by an Actress), Karen in Dinner with Friends (an SF Gate e-pick) and Doreen in Money & Run. Alex has studied acting in San Francisco, London and has a BA in Theatre from Hamilton College. |
Joe Bardellini is a San Francisco actor and a vibrant member of the 5150 Theatre Group. He has acted in numerous short films and theatrical scenes and is now ascending into his fifth semester as an acting major at the Academy of Art University. Joe has done commercial work in the Bay area and makes his national debut on the History Channel in October, 2006.

Martin A. David is a modern dancer, choreographer, actor and director who has performed in major European and American venues. He is the Artistic Director of …And Still Dancing, a company of professional modern dancers and choreographers over the age of 40. In addition to performing, Martin is a writer who has published a book of short stories (Shtetl In My Mind), a novel (Karpstein Was Hiding), a non-fiction book (The Dancer’s Audition Book), seven book-length translations of classical Scandinavian authors, and more than a thousand newspaper and magazine articles, columns, and essays.

Michael Grant is an aspiring poet and rapper who frequents many San Francisco open mic readings. He works from his home as an amateur audio engineer and seeks to produce music for film. He is editor and contributor for the literary 'zine entitled 'Synergy', and is currently working on a degree in English at SFSU.

Jedidiah Hammack is a fresh new talent, making his stage debut in this production. His enthusiastic nature and knack for making people laugh have driven him to pursue acting. You may have seen Jedidiah in the screening of "What the Fog?" an independent surf film screened at the Fairfax Theater. His hobbies include skateboarding, surfing, motorcycles, Hot Rod building and learning to play the trumpet.

Siva Natarajan has directed and acted in several stage plays in the Bay Area and India. He occasionally ventures into film acting, and most recently performed in an indie film titled San Francisco. In addition to his creative bent on films, he is passionate about the production and distribution of independent movies. He has played active roles in the organizing of the 3rd I South Asian Film Festival and most recently, San Francisco’s International Film Festival.

Dalia Vidor has worked as a professional clown for 15 years. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts and Anthropology from CSU, Hayward, and has worked with Bay Area theatres such as The San Francisco Mime Troupe and A Traveling Jewish Theatre. Dalia has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and the San Francisco Fringe Fest. In 2003, she produced Fringe on Sutter, an independent venue for the SF Fringe, which included 7 theater companies from the Bay Area and Canada in a repertory rotation for the two week festival. Dalia has shot several short films, and in 2005 produced Hello Dollya! a comedy/variety TV show on AccessSF Channel 29 in San Francisco. |
